2015 Year in review

1. What did you do in 2015 that you'd never done before?
 Um, have a fancy high rise apartment to myself for a week. Does that count?


2.  Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Not really. Still living at home (going on year 4), still haven't graduated from school (Going on 12 years). If I keep making resolutions that I can't keep, no point in making more.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
 Not a close friend but a friend none the less gave birth to a beautiful baby boy earlier in October.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
 The rock of life, My Great Grandmother, passed late July. A classmate passed around the same time. Another classmate passed away recently. Also gone this year are a couple of childhood heroes, Roddy Piper and Dusty Rhodes.

5. What countries did you visit?
 None

6. What would you like to have in 2016 that you lacked in 2015?
 My degree, my own place, Kyatto Ninden Teyandee & Gaiking (upon release), a better phone, WiiU, a blu-ray player, possibly my license...

7. What date from 2015 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
 July 26th, the my great grandmother passed away.

8.  What was your biggest achievement of the year?
 Staying with my job, even after a LOT of drama went down.

9. What was your biggest failure?
 See answers to question 2. Also not doing so hot in some of my classes.

10.Did you suffer illness or injury?
 I got sick a couple of times this year.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
 Quite a bit of stuff that I really didn't need. Dairanger box set, Link to the past manga, Gatchaman the movie, and the Christmas gifts I bought for myself.

 12.  Whose behavior merited celebration?
 One of my best friend's being sober for almost a year, another best friend's finally finding a suitable relationship.

 13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
 Some law enforcement, Donald Trump, Bill Cosby, Hulk Hogan. Depression is natural thing for me so most likely, I was depressed during the times I was appalled.

14.Where did most of your money go?
 Bus passes, Classes, Groceries and stuff I didn't need.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
 Mostly movies that I still haven't seen yet. The release of Dairanger is something I was excited about and was able to get.

16. What song will always remind you of 2015?
 No song in particular.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
  i. happier or sadder?: At this moment, sadder.
  ii. thinner or fatter?: My weight fluctuates a lot.
  iii. richer or poorer? At the moment, a lil' richer...I guess

18.What do you wish you'd done more of?
 I wish I wasn't so sad and hostile. I also wished I paid more attention to my grades.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
 See previous question. I also wish I didn't slack off so much at work.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
 Christmas was spent with me at home, alone.

21. Did you fall in love in 2015?
 I fall in love all the time...

22. Did your heart break in 2015?
 Not heartbreak, maybe disappointment...

23.  What was your favorite TV program?
 Empire, Blackish, Chicago PD, Supergirl

24.Did you know anybody who got married?
 No one off the top of my head...

25. What states did you visit in 2015?
 Just the one I live in

26. Where were you when 2015 began?
 At Eliza's house...

 With Adrienne

 "Countdown to lockdown" by Mick Foley

 Rediscovering New Jack Swing of the late 80s-early 90s

34. What was your favorite film of this year?
 um, "Jurassic World" but only because it was the only movie I saw in theaters this year.

35. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
 I walked down to the McDonalds down the street from me and bought a combo meal. I think my dad was one of the few people who remembered. I turned 103.

36. Where did you go on vacation?
 My bed

37. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2015?
 Black Hipster. May change that in 2016

38. What kept you sane?
 Friends, writing, reading, video games. Next year will probably be the same + more exercise.

39. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
 Um, Not Donald Trump or Bill Cosby. Maybe Samuel L. Jackson...

40. What political issue stirred you the most?
 #BlackLivesMatter

 41. Did you have to go to the hospital?
 No, but probably needed to a couple of times

42.  How many concerts did you see in 2015?
 None

 43. Did you have a favorite concert in 2015?
 No

 44.  Who were the best new people you met?
 Sim, Elizabeth, Michelle (Misha)

45. Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year?
 I wish I was a bit more serious at work. If I were, I would be taken more seriously there.

46. What was your most embarrassing moment of 2015?
 I think falling off a skateboard in the office in front of everyone or/and the "Charlie Brown Christmas" fiasco

47.  Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2015
 I just remember an almost argument I got into with someone about "leaving it at the door", meaning leaving any personal problems at the door of certain places. In dealing with the death of my Great Grandmother, I read a blog post saying to never let ANYONE tell you when it is time to stop grieving. The best thing to do is to talk to someone, whether a friend or a professional, let them know you are hurting and hopefully, you and said person can find ways to help you through it.
